R-E-S-P-E-C-T

I was channel surfing the other day and stopped briefly at some crime investigation type story. Given the many shows in this genre lately, you can’t blame me for not remembering which one I caught. But to get to the point, I was very impressed with how investigators derive their conclusions from the clues left behind.

You see, the other day when Dan and I were having our first ever breakfast at KFC (their AM twister is yummy, as is their banditos which I also only tried  two months ago), we ordered a coffee and tea to go with it. As we sat down, I opened the hot drink in front of me and shook my head lamenting aloud how badly they made tea. It was almost black in colour!

Then Dan removed the offending coffee in front of me and replaced it with my tea. The string that held the teabag was hanging out of it, with a “TEA” tag attached.

If I were an investigator, I’d probably be none the wiser discussing how the deceased was murdered, WITH the murderer standing beside the dead body holding the murder weapon.

See? You need to have respect for people who do their jobs well.

PS: I hope this is a pregnancy thing that will pass. Quickly.

Cat Welfare Society

It’s been some time since I’ve updated anything here and I have to blame my laziness (although trust me, I was really tempted to use the pregnancy card hurhur ok ok, Kidding!)

Coupla months back, the good people at Cat Welfare Society wrote Fly to ask if we’d be interested to lend our faces to their print campaign which aims to raise awareness about the Society’s works and also to promote responsible pet ownership amongst the locals, especially those who are living in high-rise apartments.

Dan and I thought it a worthy cause cos we have a soft spot for felines – why else would we have three at home, right? :)

So late Sunday morning, we took a drive out to Dempsey where the shoot was held and posed with cats that weren’t ours cos our house cats would freak out if we brought them anywhere.

Cat Welfare Society Shoot

Many people think that stray cats bite or scratch or are mean, but these cats are as tame as our housecats! They let us carry them like babies and came up to our legs and purred when we weren’t carrying them. It’s heartbreaking seeing the cats with burns or scars caused by some cat hater/cruel person who decide to hurt a hapless creature for their own gratification. *sigh* I guess while we cannot save Every cat, every cat saved is one less for the mean people to hurt.

So seriously, consider adopting a pet instead of buying a new one because they appreciate and need a home more. More information on the Cat Welfare Society here. Am leaving you with one of Damy - one very feisty tomcat :
