I’m sure not being able to find a word happens to the best of us.  A friend wanted to request that her guest performers be punctual and she typed this :

“Dear extinguished performers,
Please be on time for our sound check tomorrow.”

Before she hit send on her phone, she thought something seemed off. So she reread her sms several times trying to figure out what it was.

Then it hit her – she meant distinguished.
